Route 66 Pet Rescue, Inc is a 501c3 non-profit volunteer pet rescue. We are a NO-KILL rescue organization located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our mission is to rescue stray dogs and cats off of Tulsa's streets, and find them forever homes. All of our animals are:
vet checked
vaccinated
spayed/neutered
heart worm tested
Our goal is to end the homeless pet population in Tulsa one animal at a time.
In 2016 Route 66 Pet Rescue, had 100 dogs re-homed, that's an average of 8 pets per month.
In search of Foster Families:
We have several dogs who are not in actual homes that are in desperate need of socialization, leash training, crate training, and in some cases house training. Crates and food can be provided! If you love dogs, and have some time and patience to share in your home, please submit a volunteer form below! You are helping to save a dog's life by preparing them for adoption! Thank you!
PET OF THE MONTH
Hi my name is Lucy. I am 4 years old and a great gal. I had a home for four years and then just like that I didn’t. I was adopted as a pup with my brother Rocky. We had a great life then our family was moving and getting a new home and no longer had room for us. So our first family Route 66 opened their door to us a second time. I am house trained. I would love a home with older kids and no cats please. I play a little too rough with them.
OUR PROMISE
We care about our pets and before placement is made, members of Route 66 Rescue will conduct a home visit to ensure homes will be suitable “forever homes” as well as educate a new family about their pet. We will never place a pet into a home that we do not believe will be the last home the pet has to go to.
