Hi my name is Cinnamon. I have had a rough life and am really just looking for a forever home. When I was younger Route 66 got a call about a stray that was being abused by some kids. All I wanted was food and to play with them, but they thought it would be fun to use me as target practice and shot me with over 100 pellets. I was so scared and so happy to see Dave. He came to my rescue and gave me lots of love. He took me to the vet and they did x-rays. I ended up losing one of my eyes, but the vet said they didn’t need to sew it shut that it would be ok. I have had a couple of pellets removed in my leg because they were causing me some pain, but otherwise the rest are still in me. I have been with the rescue for a long time and I am getting older and would just love to have a home. See I am a pit bull mix and many do not want my breed. I was adopted a few months ago and was so happy, but I’m a little shy at first and they wanted a dog that was more loving I guess. I was adopted again and was returned because I was nervous and bolted out the door. I also had an accident in the house. I really need a home that will allow me to decompress for a month or so. I’m a great gal but it has been a long time since I have been in a home. I want to be so bad, but please make sure you can be patient with me while I adjust. I like other dogs, but I choose my friends wisely so I would need to meet them first. I love when I get belly rubs. I’m one of the volunteers favorites they give me lots of kisses and treats.
